Get Work from Landlords & Letting Agents

Contact a local letting agent and ask who books repairs.

Send a useful first message

“I cover [area] for [trade], including [work]. My normal availability is [hours]. Who handles maintenance, and what do you need to add a contractor to your list?”

Send relevant registration, insurance and work examples when requested. Keep that email so you can reuse the current details for another agent.

Check the first instruction before leaving

• Who will let you in?
• Who approves the work, and what spending limit applies?
• Which billing name, email and purchase-order reference do they need?

Make the first job easy to close

Send what you found, what you repaired, any required photos or certificates and the invoice together. Explain any return visit separately.

Ask whether they want to use you again. Put genuinely agreed follow-up dates in your existing diary; certification intervals depend on the work and local rules.
