Cheap Roofing Leads: Check the Real Cost

Four roofing contacts at an assumed £20 each cost £80 before a survey has started. One agreed job makes that £80 per job; two make it £40. The cheap-looking contact is only half the decision.

Separate the leak from the survey

An active leak may justify an agreed inspection or temporary-protection visit. A customer researching a full re-roof is asking for a different service. Treating both as “roofing leads” hides the travel and quoting involved.

Avoid the unnecessary survey trip

“Is water coming in now, what type of roof is it, and how high is the building? Who can approve the visit?” Ask for safe photos where useful, then agree the attendance basis.

Assess access and conditions before promising roof work. A caller saying “just one tile” does not establish the job's safe scope or cost.
